It's really easy to list an ad on the classified ads site at http://dulcimers.biz/classifieds It's a good idea to first just click on the items to see how things are set up. You'll see there are categories and sub-categories. You might want to write out what you want to have in your ad and where you want to put it.
If you have a photo of your item, you'll be able to add it to the listing which is a really nice touch. Smaller photos are more effective (about 5 inches tall maximum).
TO REGISTER:
You'll need to register. That is a really quick procedure. This is important so you can delete your listing, if you wish, in the future. During the registration process you'll be asked to provide a password. (Remember that Password!)
Now go to your mail program. There should be a message confirming your registration. Click on it and you'll be taken back to the website. That's just to be sure that your email is valid. In the message you get, it'll have two links. If you get an "invalid," when you click the first one, don't dispair. That just means that the email address has already been validated. All you need to do is sign in at http://dulcimers.biz/classifieds.
TO CREATE AN ADVERTISEMENT
Once you've completed the registration above, you need to go to http://dulcimers.biz/classifieds
Sign in using your email address and the password you provided. A screen will come up that will have a menu. One of the items is "Place an Ad."
A screen will come up saying: "Select A Category" with a drop-down listing that shows all the categories. Select the appropriate one. (Example: for CDs the category is Recordings.)
Now you'll have to fill in some blanks. A title, the sub-category, the price, and the description.
If you want to add a photo, that will be possible after you enter all the other information. You'll see two links. The left one says: "Place an Ad & Add an Image" but if you don't have a picture, click on the right one: "Place Ad & Skip Image".
If you click on the "Place an Ad & Add an Image," you'll be allowed to upload a picture. It'll take you to your own computer where you can find the image and it'll be included in your advertisement.
That's all. You can come back and edit your information later if you need to.
I reserve the right to edit your ad or reduce the size of your photo to conserve space on my domain.
I've detailed the information, but it actually takes less than a minute. Your ad doesn't immediately appear. I have to approve it. Give me a day, but generally it will take less time than that. If you don't see your ad within a day or two, email me and ask why the ad is missing.
There's one extra bit of information for folks with html knowledge. You can use html within the ad to take folks to your website. As an example, in an ad, if I included this link:
it would take the visitor to this page. It would show up as a hyperlink. If you want to embed a forwarding link to your website, just make sure you start the url with 
and finish it with
