Mint condition (never used) 11/12 hammer dulcimer handcrafted by David R. Peterson, Greenbrier, Arkansas, in 1981; No. 46. It comes with cover (both the cover and hammer dulcimer are of fine woodworking), stand, four hammers, tuning fork and extra strings all in original condition.

This 16/15 Master Works Hammered dulcimer was made by Russell Cook in 1991 and is numbered 50. It has a mahogany sound board, cherry end rails and rosewood bridges. Master Works dulcimers are very lightweight. I have spoken to Russell about this instrument, and he says it would be easily made chromatic, if desired. I am the only owner, and it comes from a smoke free environment. It has never been misused or abused. It comes with a soft padded case, hammers and a tuning wrench. Excellent instrument by Michael Allen from Ohio. This is the same style of instrument that was built for Mark Wade-15/16. Excellent sound and craftmanship. Comes with a custom case, stand that fits into the case. The instrument has built in dampers and peddle set up for a variety of sounds. This instrument has had very little use and is in perfect shape. It is fifth tuned and has a wide range of keys and is professionally built. The sound board is spruce that has been stained black and the sides are cherry, and is chromatic. It’s great for beginners as well as more advanced musicians. It’s light weight and beautiful. This lovely instrument is a 14/13 Solid Spanish Cedar topped Traveler with a great range (14/13). It plays 2 1/2 octaves in D and G. This is BRAND NEW and has never been played. It comes with a “new from the shop” smell, a two-year warranty, fitted case, unfinished folding seated stand, hammers, and wrench

The list price for this package is $550.

(Rick Thum sold his small instrument line in 2008 to Jim Newman so this instrument, which was designed and sold by Rick, is now sold under the Jake’s Cabin Dulcimer trademark but it’s IDENTICAL to the Rick Thum Traveler which Rick sold for many years. Jim trained under Rick before he bought the instrument line.) New Unused Dusty Strings Prelude Package

Hello, I am selling a new unused Dusty Strings Prelude Dulcimer, it’s the package dulcimer that retails for $525. I won this in a raffle a couple years ago, and I thought I’d be interested in playing, but it’s just been sitting in my house unused. I play the guitar, and I’d like to purchase a new guitar with the money from this dulcimer. Seems like a just trade to me. :O)
